We are the Kirkwood family. A family of eight, calling northern New York home for the past 15 years. Matt and Laurie are the co-directors of this show. Matt works as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Laurie is a homeschooling mom of six children. They are K*, A*, J*, N*, E*, and F*. We are located north of the Adirondack mountains near the Black River Valley.
Anastasia is a four year old labradoodle. She came to our family as a 10 week old puppy from friends and local breeders. She has been a loved member of the family ever since. She is the full time sidekick of K* (18) and there is nothing better than seeing a teenage boy and his dog. Anastasia is number one playmate for F* (7). They seem to view themselves on an even par, and act accordingly. Sadly Anastasia passed away summer 2016. We miss her every day, she was the first dog I ever owned/loved.
Amelia is our five year old labradoodle. I had really been wanting another first generation labradoodle and was thrilled when Amelia joined our family. She is very sweet and well behaved and loved by our entire family.
Aphrodite is our five year old f1b labradoodle from Anastasia's first litter. Our 17 year old *J* was very attached to Aphrodite and begged to keep her. She is smaller than the average labradoodle which makes her think she's a lap dog. She has a poodly coat and is absolutely adorable.
And since we can't seem to say no to more animals we kept four year old Anabelle for our 15 year old daughter. She is beautiful and looks a lot like Anastasia and Amelia.
We welcomed Iris to our family in 2019. She is a black and white parti puppy, that belongs to our 12 year old son.
